How the series should've ended. (Spoilers)

This could've been such a great anime. It disappointed me in the beginning, then it got super good, then disappointed me in the end.

1. Cut the annoying dialogue. i.e. how they get into moronic fights about name-calling and other moronic dialogue. This bothered me to no end. It was like I was being punched in the face by their neurotic personalities.

2. The ending... could've been so much better this way: Okabe finds out it was he who killed Kurisu (by the accidental stabbing) which meant it was a time loop. Then cut to the divergence meter which now shows it going back to 0. Meaning the world lines just looped and there was no way out. (even John Titor didn't know this)
Audience mind blown, the end. Even if it's a bit cliche, it's much better than turning it into a *beep* love story....ffs

I personally loved the dialogue and hate your downbeat ending idea.

Your idea sucks. By the end, Okabe realizes his bickering with Kurisu was all endearment by that point. None of it's meaningless. You should have turned your brain on; nothing out of the dialogue within this show does not have meaning.

The alternative version of episode 23 ends with the loop you described and they never go back for a second try. I find it may have been a better ending as well.
