Impossible to Follow w/o...

This show would be impossible for anyone to follow if they hadn't first played the visual novel. I just started watching, and I can't help but notice how bad the pacing is. It doesn't take time to set up the characters, or give you any explanation on what's going on. It EXPECTS you to know already. If I were a newcomer into this show, there is no way I'd be able to follow it. Maybe a few more episodes in will change my mind, but from what I've been reading on this board, it probably won't help.

My advice to everyone: PLAY THE VISUAL NOVEL BEFORE WATCHING THIS!

And your sources should stay in your mind since:
1)This is probably the best adaptation of a VN so far.
2)When it came out the VN wasnt translated yet the vast majority loved it AND understood the plot and the characters.

I have never played the visual novel (nor knew it existed) but i could follow the series. The first few episodes did suffer horrible pacing, but it seems to pick up a lot, especially after the Ergosphere episode.
