Man in Grey Sweater

Has any interest been expressed about the man in grey sweater next to Bartman who almost touched the ball. He is seen reaching from Bartman's right side. While Bartman has taken all of the public flack appears this person missed his own infamy by inches. Also note that this person seemingly disappears as soon as possible thereby avoiding any further involvement.

The reason why Bartman got so much crap was b/c he looked like a nerdy little wimp. If it had been "The Rock" reaching for it, that would have just been another foul ball. Play on. No one cares.

People only bully the ones they think won't fight back. Bartman fit the bill perfectly.

Bingo.

Why almost nobody takes notice of this, I have no idea. Even as the events unfolded, Bartman just sat there, hunched over, trying to make himself invisible, while his image was repeated sent out to 100 million homes.

The dude acted guilty from the get-go and that just threw gasoline on the fire of blame. If the camera had seen him laughing, talking to his friends, shrugging, showing everyone how he'd almost caught the ball, the incident would have been forgotten by the next batter, or the Gonzalez error at the worst.

Instead, he did the worst thing imaginable, took responsibility for a horror show that really wasn't his fault.

"You didn't come into this life just to sit around on a dugout bench, did ya?"
