NO TREX!!!

The only reason I saw this movie was because of I thought the IMDB movie cover looked really good, specially that big Trex in the background. I was so disappointing to see the movie did not even have a single scene with a Trex.

Does any one else feel ripped off by the false advertising???

reply

Never judge a DVD by its cover.

It was running the camera

reply

Oh my hilarious!

reply

Yes, it is indeed an example of blatant false advertising. This movie is just terrible.

reply

No. Rather, I am happy they didn't actually try to go further than selling a hidden dinosaur colony on a mainland occupied by people by insulting me further and trying to shoehorn what would have to have been the most wanderlust-averse T-Rex in history into the area.

I can't even say that's a T-Rex on the cover. Plenty of other dinosaurs resemble T-Rexes. Including raptors, allosaurus, etc. It could have been any of them.

reply

Raptors resemble T-rex? What...? The cover features some sort of massive tyrannisaurid quite predominantly that in no way, shape or form can be mistaken for a raptor. The small raptor-like dinos on the cover, sure...

reply

I think you're talking about different covers. The original release has a moody green and black cover that suggests the shape of a dinosaur. You're probably referring to the all-out Photoshop-attack cover which is misleading and harms the film beyond getting the DVD sale.

reply

Different covers or not it still doesn't change the fact he said raptors resemble T-rexes, lol.

reply

True!

reply

Yes they do.

They're both theropods. Large rear legs which they walk on and much smaller forearms, which they don't. Long tail. Lots of sharp teeth.

Everything is just a matter of size.

reply

It's not what he meant, and you know it. He was specifically referring to large theropods, which the movie poster showed, not just any theropods. Saying a raptor resembles a T-rex is like saying a gecko resembles a crocodile just because they're reptilian, have four legs and a long tail etc. No one would say that. The cover--at the time--clearly showed a large theropod, and saying a raptor resembles it is completely wrong.
