"Deathtrap" meets Guy Ritchie- but not in a good way.

That's all.

How?

I probably thought the same as you before watching it. A tutor passing off a student's screenplay as his own sounds like a bare outline of Deathtrap. The title is reminiscent of Guy Ritchie's film.

But that's it. It is nothing whatsoever like either. I'd be interested to hear your reasoning.

Good film I thought, 13/20.

"Deathtrap"
A mentor who has lost his edge wants to get his hands on his student's script.
meets Guy Ritchie-
An eclectic group of shady characters working to advance their own agenda while in pursuit of the plot device.
but not in a good way.
Without the suspense of "Deathtrap", and without the subtlety and polish that Ritchie puts on the layers of his plots. Plus, I couldn't get behind any of the characters, because the whole lot was rather unlikeable.

That being said, understand that I didn't dislike "3 Holes and a Smoking Gun", if that was the case I'd have no qualms about saying so.
