I fail to see how that means that he "always plays an alcoholic". By your logic, Christian Bale always plays Batman. Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises...........need I go on?

He did the roles justice, I mean he's so convincing, I get teary eyed at his performances. He seems like such a gracious quite guy on talk shows, but he's a kick A** actor in front of the cameras!
