Saw the trailer and had to comment on how worthless this movie looks.

I was just visiting the IMDB main page, saw the trailer and decided to look into it. Looks like melodramatic drivel with uninspiring performances to be honest.

I would rather watch a story centered on poverty-stricken people trying to make better of their lives than wealthy people complaining about not having their way. The poor have it so much worse!

Cant imagine this film being worth a look especially when the title alone sets me off.

Affluenza- The disease of spoiled brats isn't really a moving selling point. My eyes were rolling by the sight of it on the main page the trailer didn't help much either.

Yup I felt the same as you ... every time I hear that stupid term my stomach churns.

At my age, I would not normally go to a movie of this type. With emphasis on a much younger cast, it might not have dialogue that appeals to me. However, I would be fascinated to see if easy wealth and little responsibility is incorporated with the pitfalls that come with being among the idle rich. The poster (movie poster/ad, not one of the commenters in this thread) suggests a common thread with the protrayal of other rich young people: the tendency to be so lazy you physically lean on each other in some lost, freightened fashion to the point that men and women lose their identity. The young people are, themselves, not at fault. They should have responsible parents guiding them to appreciate wealth and how fortunate they are (Luke 12:48).
