I'm glad something is finally happening with this film; but will Radiant also distribute in the U.S.? Will it only handle the overseas market?
And will we get a poster, too?
I get the notion that the main reason this movie is finally moving (pardon the pun) is that Clare Danes won an award for Homeland.
If only James Marsden would get an award as well, then the other frozen pieces he's worked in will also get released.
I'd be happy with just DVDs, but it would br nice to see 5 James Marsden films in one year.
Too much to wish for, but it would still be nice.

Identity Films, on their facebook page, wrote the following statement:
"While shooting for AFTER THE FALL is underway, another Identity film - AS COOL AS I AM - has been picked up for international sales! Read about it below, and expect more AS COOL AS I AM news coming soon!"
Let's hope this means something is underway!
I think it will premiere at next year's Sundance and if so we should expect a limited release during august/september with little results, but I could be wrong.
Anyway I am quite sure this is the time needed for most independent movies to come to the theatres.
THE LOFT I think it's stuck because of the future of Dark Castle (which bought the movie). Will it be distributed by Warner or Universal? From 2013 Dark Castle will be partner with Universal but these are very complicate things. We'll have to wait and wait and wait...

Lynn not sure but the article only mentions the overseas market, and the story came out of AFM...The American Film Market where films are sold to international buyers. Maybe the film is really good and it's not all about the resurgence of interest in anything that Claire Danes is in. I just finished reading the book, and it does have an interesting main character, with tons of humor and a few key dramatic scenes.

Mau79-interesting what Identity films posted "more news coming soon"...could be Sundance, saw your post last year about Sundance for this film as well, and maybe it wasnt ready for Sundance 2012. There are other festivals they could try for, if Sundance rejects the film as well.

There is a huge subplot mentioned in the article, about the storyline of the film that is not in the book at all. Would prefer the trailer to the poster myself lol!

Also did not mean the film would not be good if not selected for Sundance, who knows what the criteria is for selection to that festival. As a supporter of Claire Danes it will suck though because she almost certainly will not make the festival if it does get selected, heard rumors her due date is sometime in January.

Thanks for the info, johnhelv! Since you read the book, can you tell us if Jimmy's character is in the movie as much as Claire's?
I'd prefer a trailer too :-)
I like James and Claire a lot! Really hope to see something about this movie soon.
I loved her in "Evening"

They have added a subplot, based on the new press release, about the daughter taking cooking classes from a famous chef, which is not in the book at all. Based on the book the order of most screentime would be
1.Lucy Diamond (Sarah Bolger) the book is told from her perspective
2.Kenny (Thomas Mann) her best friend
3.Lainee (Claire Danes)
4.Chuck (James Marsden) his characacter is only in town for maybe one week at a time and the book takes place over a year maybe even two years.

If you are a big James Marsden fan, you might not like Claire after seeing the movie lol! Don't want to give away why though if you dont want to be spoiled.

eheh no problem at all: if she is believable by being mean to him I'll love her ;-)

Yeah I was just joking about how her character cheats on her husband :) Even though I do not condone cheating, if you read the book you understand why she does it.
