Very impressed by those two actors , they truly carry the film. They are so natural. They have a very bright future ! ... The writing is also top notch , the kids talk like normal kids.Its one of those very rare things a film mostly featuring kids that can be enjoyed by adults and kids alike. Its an intelligent , sensitive family film , a breath of fresh air.

shareIn ANY movie I see, I use the following philosophy; I dont care what the critics say. When I see a movie, *I* am the one who has to like it.
Time after time, movies like this one are degraded by critics. After a while, you get to know what to expect. "Family" film gets hit hard much of the time.
I actually own the movie and was not disappointed in my choice to buy it.
There are far to many young actors who get little to no credit for some of their performances. Mostly the praise comes from those who direct the movie and work with them.
THEY are the ones who are around them and see how hard they work to create a good movie.
When people criticize bad performances, it may be due to bad direction or bad writing or just a bad movie.
YES the kids did very well.
Annalise Basso has been in a number of things before and since this movie was made, as has been good in everything she's done. I will say, though, that as good as she's been in her other roles, this is her best work to date. She's also beautiful, but young. I look forward to seeing more of her acting as she grows into a woman.
It's kind of too bad they hid both kids behind big glasses in the movie, especially Annalise. I understood why they did it, to make the kids look less attractive and more like outcasts. Annalise is so attractive she wouldn't have been believable as the geeky, unpopular kid otherwise.
I don't believe geeky necessarily equates to unattractive so I don't think they were trying to make them less attractive, just geekier

shareThey are good. I notice that Chandler Canterbury hasn't done anything since 2014. Perhaps he will just remain a boy actor. That's the way it goes sometimes.
