Please STOP making more sequals

Fast 1 was GREAT! Nr. 2 was allright. Hell, i even thought Tokyo Drift had it's own charm. But something just went wrong when these 'hoodsters' and gangbangers' suddently became professional international criminals.. It's just gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to far.. I'm not sure if im waching fast and furious or mission impossible anymore..

Please STOP seeing more sequels! No one is twisting your arm to watch them. See, problem solved.

reply

LOL love this reply.

If they hadn't added the last scene in with Stathom killing Han, then this could have been a perfect ending to the series.

reply

I was thinking the same thing. They had everyone at the old house, Roman said the prayer, Han was leaving to Tokyo. They should have just..let it end at 6. Now they have to throw something together for 7 w/o Paul Walker and it'd really just be a money grab.

reply

you DO know that F&F is the most successful franchise in the history of film, yes? maybe rather than depriving millions of something they love, u can just stop seeing them and bitching about them.

reply

You do know that you are way off on your claim of this being the best film franchise right?

It's not even close to Star Wars, Star Trek, Twilight, The Bond Films, Harry Potter, The Avenger/Marvel Movies, The Lord Of The Rings/The Hobbit, Pirates of the Carribean, Transformers, Rocky, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park.... Even the Jaws films have made more that F&F films to date....

But nice try....

reply

Wrong about Rocky, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park and Jaws.

Rocky and Jaws aren't even in the top 25 xD

F&F is 15th btw.

reply

still going...

You do know that F&F 6 was the 4th highest grossing movie of 2013 and F&F 5 was the 5th highest grossing movie of 2011?
So even though it may not be the 'most' successful franchise it is definitely "one of" the successful franchises.

As for the OP, like someone sensible said above: Please STOP watching the sequels!

Stop watching a series which you dont like and then stop spewing hatred about it in the forums and making a fool of yourself AND then stop rating movies 1/10 like half brained morons. When you rate a movie on a scale, its a measurement of different factors.. its not just to show your hate for the genre.
Just go watch something else! And get a life! Cos you have way too much time on your hands.

Hollywood makes too many sequels & remakes, period. The magic of F&F 1 has been lost by making each movie less believable than the last. Instead of bringing the story to a new height, the sequels just cheapen the integrity of the original with more CGI chases & crashes. Fine for the gamer types but boring for those craving style AND substance...

reply

If you want believable substance, watch the lifetime network. I want eye candy and mind numbing action. (Yep I'm a gamer)

Laugh, and the world thinks you're crazy.
Weep, and the world thinks you're bipolar.

reply

I think the sequels made the original two films more poignant. Here is a cop and a street racer going against each other, and years later they are a family and working together to save the world.

Also, Justin Lin made it a point to use less CGI in Fast 5 and Furious 6.

reply

What magic? fast cars and half naked girls with no substance, the only thing making that film worth the time is Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, Fast Five changed that for the better, fact is Tokyo Drift almost killed the franchise, Fast Five(to a lesser extent Fast 4)helped bring the quality back

reply

Huh? Why would they stop because you don't enjoy them anymore? Well if you don't like it don't watch it because there are others, MANY others including me who wish to see more Fast and Furious.
Don't be "not sure if im watching..." be sure to not watch it and get the (proverbial) *beep* out!

reply

From what I've heard, Paul Walkers character is going to be retired (not killed off), meaning they might continue the series after F7. Now there's no doubt that F7 has the potential to be the highest grossing movie of the entire series considering that everyone would want to see how Paul Walkers character is retired, and how the final scenes with him in them pan out, but on the basis that F7 is successful, I have no doubt the producers will continue to a Fast & Furious 8. The series has signed on for 10 movies, so if F8 is a success......... the rest, as they say, is history. First step begins next year in 2015 when F7 is released!
