Gina Carano & M Rodriguez girlfight [spoilers]

If Gina Carano is secretly working with Shaw throughout the film, why does she chase down and fight Michelle Rodriguez (also working for shaw) in that section in the london underground?

Not that it matters, of course. It's a quality girlfight and that's justification enough. I was just wondering if I'd missed a subtle plot point...

Never invest too much thought into these films. You have to let a lot of stuff slide although it is fun to point out how much the series doesn't give a sh*t about things not important to the action.

My thought on it was Carano's character had to appear to be working with the good guys all the way up until the point Shaw no longer needed her to be "undercover." So maybe she just fought Letty to keep her cover but held back so Letty could still get away.

Wow. The cartoon-like fighting is added to movies like this because they are so boring, and the producers know there are a bunch of morons that think watching fake fighting like this is entertaining!

reply

Isn't all fighting in movies fake..?

And I resent the implication that I'm moronic just because I enjoyed a stupid, over the top fight in a stupid, over the top film.

I was an extra for the Underground fight scene, where Roman and Han take on Joe Taslim's character. Believe me, the actors did almost all their own fighting, except for the bit where Tyrese got thrown through the glass. That was his stunt double stepping in. But the rest of it was an amazing physical effort by the stars themselves.

Letty didn't know she was on shaw side I'm sure they knew letty will always go back to Dom so they didn't to keep it safe

I just finished watching the movie, and I was thinking the same thing. I assume Shaw kept it hidden from Letty that Riley was a double agent. If Letty did know Riley was a double agent, the fight was staged.

Only Shaw knew she was working for him, not everyone in his crew.

I mentioned in another thread on how it looked as if Shaw would have got with Letty (i.e. scene where she's fixing car). With that in mind ... my guess is that Gina C character felt some sort of way about Letty being around her man and it was more so of putting a hurt on her than what another poster stated in regards to her keeping her cover.

I assumed Shaw convinced her to switch sides later on.
