one stupid silly thing that bothered me about this movie. spoilers

When they walked through the stargate thing it bothered the *beep* out of me that they held hands. You are worried about where you will end up or fused to the mountain, but it doesnt even occur to you that you may fuse together. I know it didnt but it could have. I also know it was because she was scared but she should be scared of becoming a siamese twin. Quite frankly I wouldnt carry the camera either. End up with a camera arm.

*beep* it, cut'em up!I

I didn't notice that they were holding hands, but the camera bothered me. Camera-arm, camera-head, camera-groin...there are no good outcomes there.

Maybe you'd get camera-eyes so you could zoom in and out, have night vision and the ability to record video.

If you are gonna worry about the camera then you'd have to worry about your clothing, best to strip completely naked or you'll end up as a multi-coloured wooly animal. A rainbow sheep if you will.

Opinions are just onions with pi in them.

I figured at that point they really didn't care. The stupid thing that bothered me was how unprofessional and scientific they were throughout the whole thing.

They didn't once seem like people that knew what they were doing or were really smart enough to do any research. They were like college kids on a camping trip. The minute something happened the women started blubbering like teenage girls and the guys acted like upset teenage boys. They made noise when they should've been quiet, and throughout they kept assuming nothing was going to happen to them even thought they were there because something horrific happened to other people.

The move might have had more intensity and been better if they cast older actors who seemed plausible enough to lead a research team from today, in real research teams like that, the youngest would usually be in their 30's. Young actors aren't interesting enough to hold a movie like this together. There's nothing wrong with casting older or more experienced actors that look like they're in their 20's.

Another stupid thing, the shaky camera. This movie would've been better if they just used traditional camera work and lighting to allow the audience to see what was going on.

I so agree! Those kids would never had gotten a grant - I think they did? - or an "educational OK," anyway, for the trip. To investigate - what? They had no theory whatsoever.

The guy said he'd marry his camera, if it was legal, so I don't think he'd be the least bit upset if he was fused to it forever...

Is your signature quote from Mitch Heber's how about Pringles & tennis balls?

Mitch Hedberg?

The comedian.

Can't stop the signal.

reply

Yes, I know. I was giving the right spelling of his name, I assumed based on "Heber" they hadn't seen his name before, just heard it.

reply

Ohh, ha ha. I hadn't noticed. My mistake.
