what looks like a couple of Wolves in the background

Did anyone see what to me looked like a couple of wolves in the background halfway through the movie?
It is where they are discussing the acid trip and she put down the camera and we see them sitting down to talk about it. In the background it looks like the camera has captured a couple of wolves running through the shot.

I dont believe it is related to the script in any way. I wonder what they were and if the director meant for them to be in the shot?

Yep i saw it too. I looked again and its two humanoid creatures.

Perhaps its the same creatures that left the foot prints.

when I read this, I admit I missed it, so played it on slo-mo incase I missed it again. However, I think that they are 2 wolves. BUT when Hollys camera is recording her conversation during the scene, the camera crackles and jolts a few times......the other 3 in the group seem to be going about their business, but ghostly blink-and-you-miss-it aparations seem to close in on them. Watch it again, and its when the camera has interference, you 'see' them.

Yes I saw it, was a nice touch, has you looking all over the place after that!.

I reckon it was themselves protecting their future selves (killing the soldier?)...who knows.

There was another place where i again saw the wolves,when they entered the tunnel by closing the door behind.They saw two tunnels and they decided to take the one which was straight ahead,when they were moving and the guy was behind with camera,just in a shot.i saw wolves or those so-called zombies.

Every time the camera glitched in that scene it was only a double and triple negative of the people in the background. It was not anything like the creatures or wolves. The two humanoids (figures at least) in the background are the only interesting things in that shot.

I saw it at the time, and the one in the tunnel too. I assumed it was the 'yetis' as we know they teleported out of the bunker due to the footprints and the tongue.

I thought it was bigfoots running around, and I noticed them in the tunnels too.

Why do the goofs list them as dogs?

Nice catch! It's definitely the creatures and I didn't see it the first time. The one you found happens just after the 38 minute mark (the end of the Velma from Scooby Doo convo).

I wonder how many more there are, and the times they occur....

I did catch this on my first viewing and even stopped and re-viewed it a couple of times. I actually thought it was a couple of wolves or perhaps sled dogs frolicking in the background, and missed by editors at filming. After seeing the movie to the end, I know think it was the creatures.

The creatures are hairless.

I caught this the first time and intently watched the background during other scenes, but didn't see the creatures reappear, so I think it was just the one scene.

I find one thing very interesting, how could it be the creatures when the door was kept closed to keep them inside? If it were in fact the creatures, it would mean there was another entrance/exit to the mountain..

the footprints and the soldiers tongue found outside on the mountain also proves there definitely has to be another door leading into the mountain.

Yes, I saw it too. I don't think it's some accidental wolves running around, it had to be planned by the filmmakers. I think most likely these were meant to be Russian soldiers, in white coats, watching over the hikers.

Aren't we to assume that it is Holly and Jensen, or other test subjects that have gone through the time warp? Holly and Jensen time warped back to 1959, killed the Dyatlov group, got hung up on those hooks, but are still alive...maybe they've been haunting the mountain ever since.

Holly and Jensen didn't kill the Dyatlov group. They teleported to right after the search party found the group.

No I did not see that but what I did saw was this: when they first got into the tunnel after being shot. They put the light on and when they look to the left, into another tunnel, you see a Wolve-like creature walking at the end of the tunnel.

I did see that, I thought the movie was headed in the Yeti direction so when I saw that I assumed they were just foreshadowing, but after finishing the movie I think the director was just giving a nod to the Bigfoot crowd. This movie includes just about every supernatural conspiracy theory out there so that seems plausible.

After reading through the thread I notice a lot of you think it was the creatures from the bunker, I'll remind you that the creatures in the bunker were hairless and the two "wolves" were clearly not. I still say they were ACTUAL Yeti.
