What was with the tattoo on the creature on the meat hook?

The one at the very end that turns out to be alive and smiles at the camera. I was led to believe that the Mutant Holly and Jensen were dead and fused together. Who were the two on the meat hooks?

It was Holly and Jensen. They had been transformed and were the two in addition to the original 9 in 1959.

I guessed that when seeing the tattoo, plus perhaps it's a loop and the body count continues to grow each time.

Yeah. The tattoo was a callback to Holly's tattoo earlier in the movie. The purpose was to show the creature was a transformed Holly.

That's what I thought it was supposed to be. However, I never saw any scene that showed the tattoo earlier. Although, they may have mentioned it.

of course there was a scene, you probably zoned out when yet another dumb girl talked about her dumb tattoo
