This movie sucked my balls!

I love a good weird movie, like Schizopolis. But weirdness is no substitute for quality filmmaking. The script seemed several rewrites short of being finished. Visually the movie didn't have much to offer. Worst of all it was dull as hell. That's inexcusable in a movie that's given itself free license to be as weird as possible. The top-shelf private detective and Master Chang were both great, however.

to be honest it went over your head i ll explain during the credits at the beginning it shows a wrecked car abduction firefighters meaning our main guy has died he's stuck in purgatory master Chang is god trying to help him find his soul aka the dog hopefully next time you can see the brillance

Wow . . . That is creative but not what is going on. Nice attempt to make sense of it though. The van was used by the abductor, not by Dolph, so I don't get how he ended up dying in it.

I remember the days when imdb boards were about discussing films rather than just two camps of inconsolable haters of the first 20 minutes who use terms like "pointless" or "pretentious" and deluded fans of every single frame who use terms like "over your head" and "wholly original".

When did the middle ground disappear?

reply

I don't remember those days. Haha. IMDb has always been pretty rough.

VicBooth, I absolutely love this comment, I believe you've summed up the exact way I feel in pretty much every forum on this site, only thing is, this is pretty much the only thread I've ever seen in which the things you mentioned aren't actually happening!
I've been reading about Wrong for almost ten minutes now, and no-one's dropped the "p" bomb yet... unbelievable.

All the components of a grand sweeping indictments of a system typically aren't contained with any specific example, fortunately (or unfortunately, for my argument).

"hopefully next time you can see the brillance." Was the breaking point for me, after reading numerous boards on a number of films for well over 10 minutes, prompting my precious rant.

I just wish people polarised less on boards, because they emotionally invested so much in their own opinion. Greek academics considered debate one their greatest learning tools, not just a way to force your opinions on others while attacking their core character for holding a certain interpretation.

Good points. You may wish to stay clear of the war zone that has become of the Robocop 2014 boards. It is exactly what you are talking about, only on steroids and pcp.

There's always someone that'll say a movie was all in the main character's head
