Life in a Day

Sounds a lot like Life in a Day...

Seriously, and in the preview it says that it's the first movie taking videos from around the world in one day. It's a total ripoff.

You can read the articles below from the New York Times and Telegraph, clearly crediting One Day on Earth as the inspiration for Life in a Day.

New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/30/movies/one-day-on-earth-seeks-to-cap ture-the-world.html
Telegraph: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/film-news/8683239/One-day-on-E arth-captured-on-film.html

One Day on Earth started back in 2008 and, unlike Life in a Day, worked with the UN and over 60 NGOs to insure that there was significant participation throughout the world. Unlike Life in a Day, this film does have participation from EVERY country. The combination of a partnership with Vimeo as a platform (as opposed to YouTube) and collaboration with the UN for logistics, makes this a very different film.

A pointless gimmick, to draw people into a mostly boring, not-so-subtle hour and half of liberal schmooz. From some looser saying he's accomplished something jumping into cold water, to Goebbels style propaganda showing a bright and shinning N. Korea, to relabeling Israel "Occupied Palestine", to proclaiming Man's out-of-step place among life here on Earth, I should have been paid to watch it. Maybe then they'd have gotten more than 4 people in the theater on a Saturday afternoon--and if it had been accurately represented in its trailer, there have only been three.
