character background

One of the things I found very frustrating watching this is who was the protagonist or Manager Lim? We have a background on the villain but never really find out or get a background on the hero. Like the villain, I was also frustrated & wanted to know more about this guy who was immune to the villain's powers. It was also frustrating that these 2 characters didn't have more to their relationship, like how they did in the film 'Unbreakable'. In films such as this, it is very important to have a symbiotic relationship between the hero & the villain, ie. Megamind. Without it, the film loses what drives it. We never get to find out what drives these people, who they are, what they are to each other, how did they get where they are, etc.

I agree, but to some extent it was all random chance. The villain never expected to have an opposition ever, and the opposition never thought he was special. It was only when they met that each of them clashed, and the events that take place are the movie.

Its Cho-In's nihilism of letting the boss guy die that fueled Kyu-Nam's quest to stop him. After it set off a chain of events that spiraled into the climax.

I ended up feeling so much sympathy for the badguy- yes he was evil, but the world made him that way- and he was good to his mother!! the good guy was a little one dimensional for me- very young and gung ho...okay, cos this seems like a small group I'll just ask here- it may be a silly question but- were they brothers??! I got the feeling the younger kid was the young brother, the mom had him after abandoning the badguy and his ''power'' didn't get turned on until he had his accident....cos how did the cops find the mother?! They were investigating the kid, not the badguy!! Lol, that was my only quibble for this movie, otherwise I really liked it....can't wait to see how Hollywood *beep* it up
