A little taste of what the tone of the film could be like...

I'm pretty much expecting something extremely in the vein of David Lynch after seeing this:

She's a revisionist Butoh dancer called Vangeline who is confirmed to be in the movie and will be in a scene where she performs this exact (I suppose you would call it) dance, called 'Ritual'. If anything it's made me anticipate the film even more; I hope the film's really unique, creepy and weird, but hopefully will have a good script to go along with it. Also, many films these days have such underwhelming endings - I really hope it won't be the case with this one though.

Can't wait for the imminent trailer - to see Winona in a lead role again, where she's practically on screen all the time, is so exciting. Her career seems to be taking a very interesting direction, and I expect big things from her performance in this if it's anything like her similarly themed one in Black Swan!

You want to be a failure? Then do it someplace else. I can't invest in failure.

Coming from a huge Lynch fan, I advise anyone tempted to watch this to do otherwise. You will save money and more importantly a couple hours of your day. If, on the other hand, you enjoy watching nothing happen except blank stares, odd dialogue, and an all-star cast standing around looking bored for 2 hours, then please do watch it.

P.S. Please stop comparing this to Lynch films. This flick sits on the opposite side of the rainbow.
