The Gigolos are real escorts who have sex for money (no client would pay thousands of dollars for just "companionship") but as castmembers of the show, they are paid by the SHowtime Network. They get paid $50,000.00 each per episode. If a woman has any ounce of respect, she would never show her face on the show (she could get fired for doing something as risky as doggie style sex on national TV), so that is why the show is mostly scripted. The sex is real but only escorts, strippers, prostitutes and pornstars participate. The Gigolos don't market themselves as prostitutes because that could land the CEO of Cowboys4Angels, Inc. in hot water with the State. The company thrives on its image of an empowering dating service company that provides women with the romance they are seeking. In reality, women who hire men for pleasure are really just wanting sex.
