I'm not even sure why I still watch this shit. This is easily the worst show that I keep tuning in to. Every character literally just sorta wanders around, acts out a scene that may or may not have had relevance to the overall story, does a thing and then just sorta... I dunno...goes away to do something else? It's so very meh. I can't be bothered to pay full attention any more because the story feels like I'm watching someone pilot a helicopter that just lost the use of its tail rudder.

A very apt description. I was OK with some of that kind of stuff expecting it to all gell. But it is as you say. Random road trips and seemingly significant events that turn out to be of little meaning. Vague preparations for an ill defined "war."

Seen worse though. It has some merit. I'll watch the first two or three of S3 to see if it is any better.

Where have you seen worse on premium cable that was so heralded? This was not Girls or Silicon Valley or Flight of the Choncords. This was supposed to rival GOT and The Sopranos. Prithee, name me a more flaccid failure than this.

Anything written by Neil Gaimen is not going to rival GOT and The Sopranos.
Its just not mainstream enough

I didn’t say that it was. The host network said it in its promos for the first season, quoting websites originating from Mom’s basement.

Well that's hard to do since I obviously don't know what is qualified for the nominees. Man in the High Castle was worse. True Detective (season 2). True Blood. Low Winter Moon.

But if you mean "A show that was expected to be the greatest ever" then I don't think American Gods ever fit that to begin with. American Gods had a B+ season 1 and a C- season 2. That isn't much worse than I expected. Who thought it was supposed to rival GoT? You?

I dont mind however. I've given up trying to follow the story , if there is one , i just like watching the characters wander around
