Not for people who don't like cerebral movies

But for the rest of us -- the admitted minority -- this keeps you on the edge of your seat, even if you know what finally happens.

My only quibble is that it could have been more of a character study. But it had to juggle a lot of facts in two short hours. It couldn't do everything.

Being slow and based on a true story doesn't necessarily make it cerebral, though. There's nothing particularly special about this film. It's just an above average docudrama that happens to have some quality acting in it. By comparison, Birdman, the previous Best Picture winner starring Michael Keaton, while a bit try-hard, was a much more intellectually stimulating film overall. This film though, won't likely be remembered in the years to come.

‘More of a character study’

This movie has no characters, only archetypes.
