Oh freaking jesus. (spoilers)

THAT ENDING.
I'm not as against it as most people possibly.
Reminded me somebit of the drama of other gay movies, specifically spanish ones. Reminded me of David's Birthday.
Well, he was acting like a father figure most of the time
I'm a bit more uncaring about the characters as they're bisexual.

The ending was beyond ridiculous and cowardly delivered, since it wasn't dealt with. But it actually occurred to me before it was revealed, as it would've been the only explanation for the countless flashbacks. When the aunt started throwing up I just knew I was, unfortunately, correct in predicting that atrocious twist.

But in my opinion, the ending wasn't the only problem with this movie, even if it did stand out for its obvious implausibility. Bearing in mind the noticeable low budget, pretty much everything about it was unimpressive. The script was alternately pretentious and corny. There were also unintentionally funny moments, like the uncle's convenient demise. Plus the editing was all over the place, which made it even more amateurish.

The only reason I even watched this movie was Emilio Dantas, who is truly outstanding in the musical Cazuza, playing the title role. The guy is really talented and exudes charisma, some of which I noticed in Gil, his part in Teus Olhos Meus, in spite of the cliched writing which made him mostly annoying. I truly hope he finds worthier projects from now on.
