Tam Lin

Despite any of my personal dislikes about this film (not the incest, lighten up already), and I won't go into those right now, there is one glorious moment which makes it memorable for me. That is the inspired placement of the song Tam Lin during the forest scene, and not just any version, but the definitive Fairport Convention (Sandy Denny!) version. The film-makers could easily have gone with a pop queen flavour of the month remake, but they didn't. Bravo, perfect!

Which forest scene? I'm trying to find out what the music is that's playing when when Eddie and Daisy are releasing the falcon.
Love the music from this movie!

I know! I hadn't heard that song in years, and after the movie, I couldn't get it out of my head. But I didn't know the title, nor did I know any of the lyrics. But I did remember it was FC, or maybe I just recognized her voice. A few minutes listening to song clips on Amazon solved the riddle for me. :)

Its used as a great transition. Daisy, stuffed in the back of a car, leaves the airport and gets taken out into that incredible countryside. As if she leaves the real world and enters every child's paradise. The lyrics set up the story. Daisy is about to meet her Tam Lin.
