Why did DAISY keep hearing voices in her head?

what was that all about? and why did DAISY seem to be trained for survival in a post-nuclear event. it was almost like she always knew what to do. she seemed to be tough from the beginning itself. what was all that about?

she was neurotic and anorexic, the voices in her head were her mind running through things, for instance when she has a glass of water at the breakfast table her mind runs through the fact she should drink 8 glasses of water a day to be healthy, i took it to be part of her obsessive compulsive disorder, like her need to wash her hands a lot. i think the events in the film help her get over a lot of it.

i don't think she knew how to survive, i don't know how to survive a post nuclear event but i know that a compass, map and gun are really useful. don't forget she is american, maybe her dad took her to the gun range and taught her how to shoot.

How quickly you reach that conclusion.

wow, i didn't mean anything negative by my comment.

is it really out of the question that she was taught how to shoot when you can go on youtube and see vids of american children being taught how to shoot by their parents?

Yeah not sure why that person got so offended by it. I'm American and have shot a lot in my life where as my European friends have never touched a gun in their life. Just how it is so not sure why they got offended hah.

Another plot device in a poorly adapted film. See thread titled, "Things I learned from watching..." for more plot devices and holes: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1894476/board/flat/221992641

I would say it was a sign at the very least of an anxiety disorder of some kind. The rules and having to wash her hands which she does in a very methodical way would strongly suggest ocd. It in fact is an almost exact match in that regard. Her reaction to when things go wrong however don't match what most with ocd go through. They usually find the event that such rules are broken highly distressing, which she doesn't. With that being said, some do fear it, even though when it happens the distress is minimal to simply not present.

All Daisy did was use a compass and map and walk 'home'. She sneaked around unknowing men and ran away then shoot two men chasing them who where not at all careful about how or what they where doing.
