Extremely reminiscent of the original Dawn of the Dead

Sure they are not Romero zombies and the survivors settle in a school, but there is so much about this film that reminds me of the original dawn of the dead. They way they sort of settle in and return in a montage to some sort of normalcy, even the intro sequence. Am actually just about halfway through the film now and see that their "sanctuary" looks like it might be at risk from survivors on the outside exactly like the biker gang in dotd.
