According to The Numbers dot com this opened in 19 theaters in the US. How pathetic.
I'll never get used to studio execs and distributors who can't figure out what to do with a good movie that doesn't fit into a pigeon hole.
Everyone knows Jason Statham for his action movies. But this isn't one of those movies. Sadly, it's probably his best performance. And most audiences will never see it because it wasn't packaged properly.
What a waste.

Co-sign. Better distribution, better marketing.

Hollywood marketing departments must be staffed by the most unimaginative people in the industry. If there are six jokes, make those the trailer and *boom* sell it as a comedy. Use the jump scares to promote a horror movie, even if the horror is more psychological than gore-fest.

Anything any deeper than rom-coms and they just throw their hands up in the air, so the whole thing ends up tanking.

/rant. My pet peeve, obviously.
