Why was it called Hummingbird?

My theory to do with drones and cctv etc... but does anyone know why exactly it was called Hummingbird?

There's a scene of him drinking/waking up in bed, and he's hallucinating a swarm of hummingbirds.

Like you, I think the hummbirds are just supposed to be symbolic of drones and eyes watching you.

I don't know either. It's called Hummingbird everywhere except the USA for some odd reason. Called that way I believe, as others have noted to draw a parallel to the drones and the eye in the sky vision.🐭

At the very beginning a hummingbird drone strikes is called out. It's a helicopter drone. The odd part is that they show footage of a Predator drone.

This is (likely) the correct answer -- but what does a Brit know about Hummingbirds? They don't exist in the old world.
