It wasn't the cast, predictability or lack of scares...

It was the dialog. Some writers seem to have no clue about normal human reactions and interaction. It was horrible in this movie.

Totally agree.. Everything about their interactions seemed scripted. There was no real flow, none of them were very likeable. I caught myself more than once, rooting for Diabetes to kill off the Hippy chick

Never mind the fiance ... erm ... his direction made NO sense. I'm not saying what he did, but no one on the planet would do what he did :P There was zero logic there :P

If you want breakfast in bed, sleep in the kitchen!

I was disappointed that she didn't actually have the disease!

What do you mean about the fiancé, tk? He wasn't found to have been cheating? In fact, Barton explains in a commentary that the movie's about her character going to a storage unit to retrieve something that has to do with her past - no mention of her cover story. So OK, it turns out that way - but to describe it like that??

Have to agree with the OP, dialog between the characters / writing was awful in allot of places. I thought the actors, scares etc were fine/good, especially for a "B" horror movie.

Without giving any spoilers, I think he is talking about what the fiance did at the very end being unrealistic, I thought the same thing. Cant understand anyone doing what he did, at least in the way he did it. You would at least take a look and remove a few things before saying sell everything

Also I found myself placing the story back in time to around 2000 or so. 10 characters or so and not a single one had a working cell phone?

I still thought it was ok as far as entertainment goes, not a complete waste of time if you know its a B horror movie going in.

OP is right on.

I was getting ready to turn it off 20 minutes in, but it's very rare for me not to finish a movie. Here I am 40 minutes in and the dialog keeps getting worse and worse! This is the part where they meet the "suave" guy in his storage room. "Do you have a job? You have a job and a gun! Big man!"

Every single character is giving completely fake sounding dialog.
