Rape Scene

So what is the conclusion? Was she raped, not raped? Who was the old guy looking at her in the rape scene. I didn't get any of that.

I think the older man (maybe dad or family member or school teacher ) was the rapist not Dylan. being to afraid to say it was a family member or teacher she blames Dylan who no one likes anyway.

Wow, never thought of it like that. That is a great answer. Thanks.

I think the man was her imagination. She was probably abused by him, maybe he's a family member or someone she confused in but I think she was mad and angry and wanted to blame someone so she chose the boy.

You know how she said at the beginning that she didn't have pull or grades and had to use her body. It just hit me (the second time watching) that's probably what was going on, that she was sleeping with someone who could help her get into college or something. But the fact she blamed the kid & let everyone believe it & let things go that far was horrible, & she had no excuse. It was like he was just some "throwaway" kid & didn't matter. She was awful.

No conclusion, unless there is an interview from the director or whatever.
