Bollywood plz learn something

Ok i am an indian. This was the first Pakistani movie i watched in my life and i am thankful that i did. It was fantastic. The acting was a-grade.
I won't say this was the best movie i watched but to say the least its a masterpiece. And it makes you thing, that is the most important part. This actually also very well fits to the situation in India. This is in class of social movies like chandni bar, udaan, fire etc.
Now-a-days bollywood is producing some of the stupidest movies i have seen in years like ready, Bbuddah... Hoga Tera Baap, Delhi Belly, bodyguard, Chatur Singh: Two Star. Its like the 90s allover again. i agree some of the films like arakshan were based on social issues but they failed to provide the impact and get the message through. Bollywood has now turned into a multimillion dollar business. They cast a popular hero make a 3rd grade movie within 2-3 months publicize it for a month and cross their fingers hoping the film to run in the theaters for a couple of weak and therefore doubling their investment.
There are hundreds of good subjects in india to make serious movies on but no they want to keep on making some senseless masala movies which the audience wont even remember after exiting the theater.
Pls bollywood remember people like satyajit ray, basu chaterjee, dadasaheb phalke, hrushikesh mukherjee etc who shrived their whole life to raise the standards of indian movies. Pls have some respect for them.

Now this is like "MUH KI BAAT CHIN NA"....i feel the same way u did about Bollywood...year full of craps and these craps are huge hits...what Indian viewer thinks while going to cinema is that they want some refreshment...naach-gaana, comedy, senseless stories and a big hero based movie....that is where they want to spend there money and producers here in India takes the full advantage of this situation by making the movies like u mentioned...our cinema is really facing a worst scenario by making audience fool with every movie...now i can clearly define the mass cinema by watching this whole situation, people who are loving this mass cinema wants explanation with every scene and dialogue, they don't want any thought provoking movies like Bol as its too boring for there standards, they don't need any hard suspense or twists which make them wonder that how things happened in this movie...movie like Bol was deserving the opening that Bodygaurd got...it was so sad for this movie...me as a short film director here in India always wanted to serve a cinema which really makes sense but i m afraid that i m loosing my audiences...Bollywood Sucks!

@arpit
Good to see a film maker having the same view as mine. I really am not understanding what is forcing them to make such idiotic movies. Is money everything to them?. Movies are one of the most powerful type of media. If the movie is good It can shake the grass roots of the society and have very positive effects on it. Films are like cultural archive were they provide a excellent view of the time and era of when the film was made.
See i am not saying that make all the movies on social issues like poverty, terrorism etc. What i am saying at-least put some sense in the story. Hrushikesh mukherjee's films like chupke chupke, Golmaal, khubsurat etc were not on social issues but they had good story with a excellent cast who gave their 100%. They were feel good movie. But what is the logic in todays movie i dont know.
I have immense respect for amitabh bachan but when he did Bhudda hoga tera baap i really felt bad. He too?
Today bollywood is filled with one of the worst actors in history of bollywood like katrina kaif, kareena kapoor, sonam kapoor, priyanka chopra, harman baweja, abhisek bachan, uday chopra etc To get films you have to be a actors sibling or look extraordinarily beautiful no place for good acting.
On of my cousin is a director Laxmikant Shetgaonkar. His movie "Man beyond the bridge" got many international awards (Los angeles film festival). It was included in the worlds best movies in 2009 (only indian film to get that honour). When people asked him if he will do films in bollywood i denied it. He said that bollywood is like a bussiness if you get sucked in it once you too well turn into bussinessmen.

Well i m happy to see that i got a reply from someone like u...congrats and kudos to ur brother...very happy to see that someone from India is really proving his point in international awards functions...yes u said perfectly right that Bollywood is functioning by some of the crappiest actors-actresses and producers-directors but the reason why they are in this business is all because of us...we go into the theater to watch there movies, we make them a big hit and then criticize there work...u see, the whole problem here is we people...i figured out some of the points or reasons that why we used to watch idiotic cinema:

1. Lack of Technical knowledge-Look the main difference between our audience and the rest of the world's audience is that our audience don't even know what CINEMATOGRAPHY is!
There are many things in a film that a person can point out i.e. Cinematography, Editing, Acting, Screenplay, background scores, sound mixing, animation, etc. etc. and the problem here is that people only point out 2 or three things i.e. Story(people don't call that script or screenplay or story-line just story), acting(people thinks that Salman Khan is the great actor) and songs(songs like "Raziya badnaam hui gundo m" and all are great hits).

2. Immense Love with Comedies-In last four years India has produce thousands of comedies in which more than half were hits or did average business in box-office and this thing suddenly changed the whole trend of cinema here in India...senseless comedies produced day by day which changed the course of mind of the people... now we people want one item number, some bad language(its not a big deal but still people whistled in theaters when Budhiya in Peepli said some of the bad words with different emotions), toilet jokes and senseless scripts. I don't say all the comedies we produce were poor...3 IDIOTS, SHOR IN THE CITY, 99, DO DOONI CHAAR, YEH SAALI ZINDAGI, PYAAR KA PUNCHNAAMA etc were some of the exceptions of recent days.

3. No chance for new talents-Big star-cast is what matters these days...Salman-Akki are like the "khazaana or Golden Birds or Money Making Machines" for producers...we don't want to spent some money to watch new and good talent...as u mentioned, U JUST HAVE TO LOOK BEAUTIFUL if u want a job in b-town.

Well there are many points i want to mention but this will not make any difference...I just want to contribute in Bollywood any how...i want to see an Indian group sitting in the Oscar awards ceremony and recieving many awards...i m trying my best to give knowledge to the people about cinema :) and if I got any chance in Bollywood Industry to show what i can do than by God i'll serve my best... after all we are Indians and besides criticizing the whole situation we can do something for our country. BTW i just watched FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF and i can't tell u how much i laughed :D
