Standard of a Good Movie

I wonder that a movie can only known successful and good if it takes out the worst and sick behaviors of a society? Like this one?

A person likes a movie if s/he likes the way the movie made him/her feel.
And, what a movie (or any other thing) makes a person feel, and whether s/he likes it, depends upon his/her personality, which is determined largely by his/her experiences in life.

As for this movie, you obviously didn't like the way it made you feel. I guess you know that such things happen in our society, but , maybe, you'd rather ignore it, and stick with things that make you happy (which isn't really a bad thing). But, not everyone is like that. Many people want people to talk about such things, and share their anger about such things, and hopefully do something about it.
Anyway, people liked it because it made them feel vindicated about their views on certain aspects of the society. The movie showed the worst and sick behavior (sic) of the father in a bad light, and that, perhaps, he deserved what he got. Also, it showed that it was a bad thing how the daughters and the son had suffered. People connected with that. So, they liked the movie.
The movie said a lot of other things too, that people liked.

If the movie had shown the same behaviour of the father and said that he was absolutely right in whatever he did, and it was actually the daughter (for objecting him) and the son (for being a hermaphrodite) who were the bad guys, maybe the film wouldn't be as successful and good (sic).

AFC to PUA. That's the dream.
