Just about EVERY reno done by this show is mostly done with some shade of green or grey. Sometimes in every room! I notice the same with most of the reno shows from Canada. Is there a reason for this? Still love this show the best of all the renovation shows though.
shareI'm guessing that they consider those neutral colors. Bright colors might turn off some potential buys/renters. I mean you may love your bright red bedroom but a buyer might be thinking of all the primer and paint they will have to use to cover it up. And though painting is not to bad it's still a hassle especially when you're doing multiple rooms. You go with grays, blues and greens buyers/renters might not worry about having to paint right off the bat and buy your house compared to the other house that has a different color in every room down the street.

I think most everything regarding the renovations on the show, and not just the colors but also the quality of the materials, are designed so that the final product looks good for the camera.
That said, the quality is very IKEA, would become dated quickly and not very practical. I mean anyone can make a model look good, but maintaining the look is the challenge for a well renovated living space.
