Okay, I have been searching high and low for a copy of Blood+ but all I can find in terms of TV shows based off of the original 2000 film is this. I want to know if I can watch this without watching all of Blood+ and understand what is going on?

Yes, you can watch this show without having seen Blood+.
I just started watching this show. So far it is just average. Hopefully, it gets better.
If you're still checking up on this thread, this show has nothing to do with Blood+ It's a reinterpretation of the story-line from the movie, so was Blood+ for that matter.
