Terrible, just awful.

What a waste of time, typical cookie-cutter style propaganda.

reply

Unfortunately such people exist, what would you like, not show them?

reply

Unfortunately you get idiots and morons in every part of the political spectrum, try thinking about all the evil and idiotic liberal/mainstream politicians that have existed. Just because a jerk or moron happens to have a specific ideology does not mean that the ideology is invalid. Also, this film has such ridiculous farcical stereotypes, I don't even have to attempt to defend my position on it, its all just so obvious.

reply

I assume they have to make it accessible to people who know very little on the subject. Living in Australia and being somewhat ignorant on the politics and people involved I probably wouldn't have completely understood it if it was more subtle.

What were the main problems with the film?

reply

Maybe you should watch Romper Stomper (1992), same theme only in Australia.

"Gar nicht so ├╝bel, du kleine Schlampe. Man sieht sich immer zweimal, Kleine."

reply

Of course it uses farcical stereotypes, they fit the its subject like a glove: it's an ideological movie. Just look at how Nazi propaganda portrayed Jews: using farcical stereotypes. Ideology tends to function like this, since accepting and judging by stereotypes is easier than thinking.

Considering that you've very quickly shown yourself to be a cookie-cutter stereotype spouting childish hate cliches, I suggest instead of trying to deal with your self loathing by hating others, you find yourself some help. Before you hurt yourself or someone else.

The OP is saying he's extreme right wing, and this film, like American History X, was a false portrayal of racist scum like him/her. At least, that's what I gathered.

reply

I find the accusation of propaganda weird. The movie attempts to show reasons for people following this kind of behavior. If you've ever been to Eastern Germany nowadays, it doesn't seem like a caricature.

You really ought to get into the film writing business.
