this reminded me greatly of hercule poirot.. a pedantic little man who likes everything does his way.. i keep imagining him with a well groomed moustache...having said that i am enjoying it..

Yes, there are similarities in the two characters - quite fussy, but more perceptive than they first appear to be. And the setups at the end are very Christie-ish .... gathering everyone together to go through the solution before unveiling the identity of the culprit. It's a bit old-fashioned in that sense, but I'm enjoying it too.

The musical theme definitely reminds me of Poirot. I love it!

I think Ben Miller has done more nude scenes than Poirot.

Well,he was easier on the eye than Alexander Armstrong. That should put you off your Christmas pud.
