I will miss you guys

I come to the message boards to get information on my TV programs, to try to get advice on other TV programs to watch from the people on the boards. They must have something up their sleeve and making room for people to pay for a service.

I will miss the people on the boards. From the ones that vented for no reason to the ones that debated with others without calling names to those that shared information when they got it

Thank you all for the pleasure of your company on lonely holidays, when I was feeling bad, good and indifferent.

I felt I made friends here, albeit anonymous ones, I always felt I would be entertained by people.

Thanks you all again for making my day more often that you know

I agree. I am stuck in the house most of the name (due to illness) so I don't see many people so the message boards on IMDB was my way of keeping up to date with shows and having discussion's (good or bad) with other fans

Nice to discuss it with people and they all became like friends. I shall miss you all. I'm not on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc, so this was my way of discussing things

I'm very disappointed in IMDB

I'm not on Facebook or Instagram either. I am on Twitter, but mostly just use it as a news feed.

I have to agree with the OP -- is this a way of trying to make us pay for the service?

I'm in a similar situation with long-term illness. My hubby and I watched our lives shrink to a very small world of the closest family and friends. I am not on social media of any kind, so a couple of forums are my only online outlets. Ah well, things change. I don't think it's a ploy to get us to pay for anything. Over the past year, I've come to the forums less often because the tone really changed. So much anger and nastiness, and so many personal insults. I think that may have had something to do with it. It's hard for the Admins to keep up with more posts being reported. Hard to say unless they tell us specifically. 

True. Some people are so rude. There's name-calling and making people feel stupid for asking a question. Some boards are no longer 'fun' to read.

Very poor form IMDB. I don't know what they were thinking. So many people use these message boards. I'm actually quite upset about it

Agree with all , don't post often , but do read .
Sad to see the boards go . Will miss all the insight , no faceless book or twitsrus for me .
