Why the low rating?

So I just went and saw this movie, after I saw it got a phenomenal review in the Bostong Globe. The move was a pitch-perfect documentary, well edited, good raw footage, and a story that needed to be told. So you can imagine my surprise when I logged onto IMDb to find that the movie had a 2.6 star review (as of 7/15/12). Why was this movie so poorly received? The movie certainly has no fault to justify any rating below a 6, in my opinion. Is there any chance that people 'sympathetic' to MLB (who came off looking quite badly in the film) were artificially lowering ratings for this tremendous work? I just find it a little shocking....thoughts? If you rated it that low, then why?

Must have been Puerto Ricans and Venezuelans who are jealous that their players weren't the focus.

I watched it today and have the same question now.

Probably MLB people are responsible. Pretty deplorable the way Miguel Angel Sano was treated. Definitely looked like collusion to keep the bonuses down. I agree it's an excellent documentary.

Almost definitely the work of MLB. It's a fantastic documentary. It also shows MLB in a bad light, hence the downvoting. Bud Selig probably has about 1000 IMDB accounts. ;)
