Doesn't that seem pretty high considering that there are no "A" list actors or any kind of CGI special effects?

They had to keep their celebrity cast constantly supplied with fancy hors d'oeuvres.

I know I'm walking into it, but on my small iPhone screen and the sound turned down, I saw 2 actors that were immediately recognizable, so in this age of dubious talent, that's probably "A" list.

more like $1.5mil..... and even with that none of the background talent got paid.... The casting agent is now in jail... etc...

Where did you get that info? $32M seems way too high, but I haven't seen that figure listed anywhere. I have seen $1.5M mentioned on a few sites, including IMDb - that is way more likely to be the correct figure.

That does seem high considering they couldn’t even be bothered to get an establishing shot of Lutsen. No shortage of random Minneapolis cityscape views, though!

Most people wouldn't recognize Lutsen if they saw it on the screen. Heck, I haven't been up on the North Shore in so long I wouldn't RECOGNIZE it as it appears today. Same for Grand Marais, which would have been a NEAT place to go and film some scenes for this movie!!

I felt like they should've at least throw in a north shore/Lake Superior shot to set apart the Lutsen scenes from the Twin Cities. Even if people wouldn’t recognize the towns there are plenty of cool landmarks up there. I wish I could get up there more often!
