richey edwards?

I couldn't stop thinking about his story while watching the movie, does anyone know if the writer was inspired by richey and what may or may not have happened to him? obviously the rest of the movie has nothing to do with richey, just the whole disappearing thing...

Thanks for your interesting comment that made me go read about Richey Edwards! The disappearance does sound similar in many ways.

I'm glad to hear that, Richey's story always fascinated me greatly. I suppose what really made me emotional while watching this movie is that I would like to think of Richey that way, that he's just out there somewhere living a quiet little life and all that...

That is a good way to keep his memory. :o)

And this film and Richey's story both make me think of the film Eddie and the Cruisers--which I haven't seen in a long time. :o)

I have seen this film twice and really enjoyed it. Yes, that's the film I was thinking of, "Eddie and the Cruisers". Thank you for the mention.

I haven't seen that movie but it looks interesting so I most certainly will, thanks for the recommendation! :)

Me too.

Funny but I really really wanted Eddie and the Cruisers to be real. A true story. It's been a long time since I've seen it, don't know if I'd feel that way now but back then...I was so invested! Lol
