why so much TP hate?

ever snce diary of a mad black woman i loved tyler perrys movies. i even learned a thing or 2 in madea goes to jail and managed to save a friendship (thats another story) but my point is why do a lot of people hate him?
his movies are great and funny and u can learn a thing or 2 in the end so its not a trashy movie like, lets say, american pie or those michael bay movies

also tyler perry is kind of good looking and has a nice voice. i dont get with the hate and the calling him gay part is confusing.

I agree with you that I like the positive messages he sends out and I am one of his biggest supporters. While I do like American Pie which is very funny, Tyler Perry is also funny and can add drama in at the same time. People always say he puts stereotypes in his productions but nobody has pointed out not one stereotype to me.

Spike Lee pointed out that characters like Joe & Brown are very stereotypical and people agreed with him. All of Tyler's movies have a great message. I don't really get the hate for this man. People say he's gay because he wears a woman's dress as Madea, well I guess Martin Lawrence is 'gay' too, he did the same in ALL three of Big Momma's House movies and so did Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire. These rumors are really stupid.

I enjoyed the movie,I don't understand the hate. I mean he's made enough films to where if you don't like him and you know what kind of films he produce's why constantly go to things that involve him?

my goodness thanks for clearing that out for me. i thought there were gay rumors cause he does like men but turns out if the reason is wearing costumes for a role well thats just darn ridiculous.

what about Patrick swayze and those other guys in to Woo Fong thanks for everything
or those guys in Queen of the Desert (Prisila)

Oh please, when are you Black People ever going to realize that stereotypes don't exist?

Answer me this.

Why is that stereotypes only become a issue when it involves black people. Do you ever people complain about stereotypes with Adam Sandler movies. I guess stereotypes only belong to non-white people.

What's so stereotypical about them? Nothing.

I hate the Spike Lee, stereotypes argument. How dare you let people downgrade our culture, our image to "stereotypes". Its like he wants us not to be ourselves and be uncle toms.

I don't believe in stereotypes, because they're real.

I like Kool-Aid, I like Watermelon, I like Fried Chicken, I like to talk funny with my own made up slang.

I'm also black, I have a college degree, and a job making 6 figures.

But so are alot of other races, who happened to like Kool-Aid, Watermelon, Fried Chicken, Slang.

Give me break.

You have not named one good movie yet. I do hate him because his movies are horrid yet he's making a ton of money off of poor unsuspecting fools who just don't know any better.

Michael Bay, of course, is no better, but he will at least admit that he is a bad director. Tyler Perry on the other hand, seems to think he is good at what he does. Or maybe he doesn't and just keeps it to himself.

Ritchus "Diary of a mad Black Woman" is a good movie And Michael Bay is not considered a bad director by those who still give him money to make movies! How many " bad" Michael Bay films get a 3.8? Also why are you still watching Tyler Perry movies if they are so "horrid" enabling him make tons of money

What, really? Wouldn't a man being self-made be a testament to his character and determination and get him nothing but praise? That's what America is all about!

I think the hate could be part jealousy because he is self made. Or no hate at all. It's just the fact that his movies are pretty predictable.
