I'm White, Middle Class, Male, Middle Aged...and...
I loved this movie. My wife watches all of his movies, and I must be honest, I really don't care for the typcial way they are- meaning the "black talk and acting", etc. I am in no way racist, but I just don't care for movies like that. However, this film was not like that. It had a good story. I cried several times during this movie, it was that moving. The story of the single mom and daughter being homeless is too often happening in today's society. It hurts me to see children be homeless and hungry. Yes, I help out as much as I can by donating to shelters, the United Way ( specifying my donation go towards children and battered women), but I wish more people who are well-off would help children who are homeless. Children should NEVER have to suffer. Back to the movie- I enjoyed it and it just may open me up to more of his films if made in this caliber.
Not word up---just WORD.
