Snow,
My sentiments EXACTLY. I wrote about the same things in a couple other threads recently. Nzimiro did nothing that I hadn't seen before. I felt Ronnie could have won based on his last collection alone, but it was judged on all of the previous work...so it had to be Kara, and I was ecstatic for her. She was my favorite from the first episode, even though I wasn't sure she would make it to the second episode.
All of the complaints have been that a lot of her designs aren't for the 'average woman.' And that's exactly why the average woman doesn't interest me. If I didn't know Kara was gay, I'd be all over her like a, well, cheap suit.
I love women who step outside the box, turn to the box...and then redesign it and wear that sucker!
I saw one poster that said she wanted to get Nzimiro's stuff for her or her husband or boyfriend. That's what we've come to now? Menswear is so bland and boring that it's now unisex?
That's exactly why I buy the majority of my stuff from overseas.
His shirts were nice and all, but really? That's what's gonna win you a spot in Saks?! Has he been in the store at all? He would be onto something if Urban Outfitters were judging, but not Saks. Ralph Lauren has far more intricate takes on the same designs he produced week after week. I doubt he could've even impressed a Diesel buyer.
He's a really cool guy and all, but if that's the best he had...he should go back to engineering. That impressed me more than his clothes.
I wish to die in my sleep like my grandfather--not screaming in terror like his passengers
