The Phelps kids

I was bummed out to see how the Phelps kids developed in these four years. They're all so bright it's painful to watch. Like the two boys, especially the curly kid who is talking about his shame for having pride. And Grace, who is really talented and sweet. But all in all, if you listen to all of them and listen beyond the brainwashing, they are intelligent. Even the oldest one who had potential 4 years ago but became a proud posterchild for the family is very obviously smart. My only hope for these kids is that they manage to see through their (parents') beliefs and use their smartness to their advantage. Because maybe with a normal family they wouldn't stand out so much and be average, while growing up in this kind of environment gives them an edge. If they can get out and survive the initial shock of the "real world", they could become really good spokepeople.
