I hope this series is available with English subtitles, my German is not
good enough to catch all of the dialog. Production values are excellent.

I was able to watch it on ZDF with Danish subtitles. Would imagine that English are available too.
shareSubs are available at a number of sites, but I haven't been able to find good quality subs anywhere. At best, good quality subs are available only for episode 1. rest all is gibberish with no match between subs and scene. The same sub files have been repeated across.
Can anyone give a pointer in this regard.

My English subtitles work fine. They are in SRT form and for the Divx version of this mini series broken into 3 'avi' parts. The first SRT subtitle file is 55kb, part 2 is 48kb and part 3 is 47 kbs big. If these are different file sizes than your English subs I will be happy to send them - they might work for you. This is an excellent mini series, no one should miss it!

Sent them I hope they work for you. There's a few instances where the translation is a little off in terms of being too literal but for the most part they are fine I'm sure they are from the DVD because I have seen way WORSE. Email last name ARCHULETA just so you know.

I just watched a screening of this (the series was split into two movies) and they had English subtitles.

Have you searched Open Subtitles (OpenSubtitles.org)? They carry thousands of working subs for just about any movie you can think of in any language you need. That's where I most likely found the English subs I have for this movie. If you still cannot find any working/synched subs for this movie shoot me an email @ [email protected] and I'll give you the Eng subs I have.
