I don't really care... but a few questions

Why did he have to put his jacket on just to go and get the gun?
How come it took him an age to get there but only seconds to get back?
Why did... oh no, I'm about to answer my second question... but why did he stop to turn off every running tap on the way? I mean, he was in a hurry, right? Wife was in danger, right? Gee yeah, but he's gotta save that water bill!

Don't answer anybody, I just wanted to get this off my mind before switching off.
