She really needs the money! She's going to be dead in a few years and she can't take it with her. Her family must be just waiting like vultures, like Dick Clark's family.

She may not need the money, but I'm sure it will go to those who do.
I'm willing to bet that most of Betty White's money will be left to benefit animals in some way. Considering the fact that she has no biological children of her own, and she's extremely active in the cause of animal welfare, I would guess that her contributions will continue even after she is gone (which hopefully will not be anytime soon).
She's the executive producer.

She's the host and a co-producer of the show. She'd probably out there doing the pranks with them if she could, but everyone knows who Betty White is so it wouldn't work. I personally think the little bits they do with Betty are hilarious. She's got about as much on screen per episode as the pranksters do.
