Sexuality

People keep complaining about how the show is too sexual although that's the point. When we think of old people, we don't expect them to be sexual at all. It's an ironic twist.

People take this show way too seriously. It's a prank show - it's not trying to be an Emmy nominated masterpiece. Betty's already been there and won the awards...she's doing this show for fun. If you really think about it since she's not actually involved in any of the pranks, she basically shows up and films a few scenes with the cast and that's about it. I think the show is funny. No, it's not revolutionary like her work on The Golden Girls, but that's not what this show is meant to be.

Well i'm not easily shocked but hearing Betty White talking like Hugh Heffner doesn't feel very ironic...rather provocative if not ridiculous, i worked in senior homes & i know they can be.. raunchy-corny (xcuse my english i'm french) toward younger folks due to their solitude & all, but this show mixes an uberversion of that with true moments of if not genius, at least thoughtful & clever set-ups.

The level of the pranks is similar, it lacks consistency, as some said, they are smtms mean (u won 25000$, but no you didn't) some are just weak (all the "modern" comedy sex-clichés but said by elders), & some are real gems of elder wisdom...

i guess it's these differentials that pisses off puritans & others, as there is so much to watch on tv, the net etc nowadays, ppl b more choosy.

I'm sure if they were to simmer down on the elders + 21yo having sex, threesomes, dominatrix card, it could b a far more glowing success. But Lifetime is cable tv i guess, so..whatevs.
