Good idea, poor execution

Couldn't agree with you more, yuffie0118. What a great opportunity that is a complete and painfully unfunny misfire.

Even worse, the extremely funny Betty White is too much of a household name and face to participate. Using her name to force this on us is a crime.

The show even has Reatha Grey from the classic Blaxsploitation flick "Soul Vengence" - still, what a disappoinment.

They need the writers (and budgets) of "Punk'd."

It won't last long. It is doing rather poorly in the ratings department.

People reacting to old folks doing awkward/uncomfortable/sociallyunacceptable stuff = well done in the film "Bad Grandpa" -- it had a lot of laugh OUT LOUD moments (and groaners too, of course) which with good writing and performing should be expected with the concept. Sad to hear that Betty White & Co. failed in their attempt (apparently).

It has it's moments, but I agree that it could use an overhaul.

First, prank shows need the viewer to see the victims being told they're part of prank. BWOTR doesn't do that. Why not?

Second, lose the lame sketches between pranks. They don't add anything.

I LOVES me some Betty White, but this show needs an intervention.

I agree. One thing that might have spiced it up a little is showing peoples reactions when they find out they were punked / pranked. As it stands its very dull.

If anyone else but Betty White put her name behind this, they'd have been laughed out of town. It's a cheap and unfunny Candid Camera. Anyone else would have been ridiculed for taking advantage of elderly and perpetuating bad stereotypes of elderly being stupid and unable to cope with modern technology. "Help Grammy text a smutty message, dear!" "Let me run you down with my Hoveround!"

Sad that Betty White drug her good name through the gutter being connected with this lame show and PetMeds.
