Propaganda movie? (Spoilers)

First off I started to dislike this movie within minutes(a 12 yo white boy adopted by a mixed race couple, the male being a Baptist minister, as soon as they see the kid and who forced him to call them mum and dad!).

By the end of it I got the feeling it was a Christian and/or a propaganda movie for the organisation mentioned towards the end (The EEG Institute in Woodland Hills, CA).

If you've got to pay for it, use your money for something better.

Why the hell must we always see some rotten kid murdering a dog ??????????

Apparently, for whatever reason, that's become the new norm. Writers or directors or producers seem to think, "Hey, animal abuse, let's put it in the movie to show just how bad this person is." I hate it. In this movie, first it was the dog, then it was the bird. I'm guessing the snake we saw him "playing with" eventually met its demise by his hand, too.

Anyway, as to this movie being a propaganda? I have no idea. It did seem overly Christian with a negative message towards adoption though, and that I disliked. Not all adopted kids are bad or problem children.

It's not at all propaganda. Children like this do exist and RAD is a very real disorder. RAD is a direct result of children being severely abused and neglected. We don't hear about stuff like this because it is so... not rare, but not talked about. This movie is about a real family and that family was most likely a Christian family with a reverend for a parent. It wasn't overly religious, we just don't see much religion in todays media so seeing mote than a prayer or two seems like a lot. This is coming from someone who is not at all religious and is questioning the whole of god and Christianity. And as far as the institute yes they may have an agenda in advertising themselves, but in doing that they have shined a light on Reactive Attachment Disorder. In their supposed selfishness they are showing parents out their who may not know what is going on with their children a possible answer. They are showing parents with RAD children that they are not alone and there is help to be had.

the fact that you consider it propaganda to have an interracial marriage and transracial adoption on TV shows the problem with society and entertainment right then and there. People actually have lives like this where they do adopt children of other races than theirs and they do marry other races, it's not propaganda it's not some agenda it's how life is and it's about time TV starts to embrace life!

It's not the interracial marriage, it's the Baptist Christian *beep*

How is this propoganda? Plus, if you aren't a Christian and don't like those themes, fine. Some of us are Christian and do appreciate these kinds of movies. I wouldn't bash you for watching something about Satanism. Your choice.
