One odd thing I really liked about this film
The main character (Nadine) was not feminine. I loved that. I can't even remember the last time I saw a female character (especially someone young) who was not playing a feminized (or sexualized) version of themselves. Even the 'tomboy' types do it, though in a different way. To see a character 'play it straight' was so refreshing. Reminded me much more of how I was - just a person, a human being, not a stereotyped female or teen.
